This modern dance pop song is a tribute to Cheryl’s boyfriend Derek Hough, who stood by her during her battle with malaria and through her divorce from the ex-Arsenal defender Ashley Cole.  Cheryl sings: “Though I am walking through the shadows, you were with me and you comfort me.” But one  MTV UK source said otherwise! According to the source, the song was written before Cheryl was even sick with malaria: “It was actually written months ago and although it’s not directly talking about her illness, there is a strange lyrical twist that ironically relates to her recent near-death experience. It is similar to the way ‘Fight For This Love’ related to her marriage drama.”

In the UK, the song topped the charts and became Cheryl’s second number 1 single and fourth solo consecutive top-five single in the UK. The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) certified it Gold for sales over 430.000 copies. The song also topped the charts in Ireland and Scotland. Elsewhere, the song reached number 5 on the European Hot 100 Singles, number 14 in Hungary, number 78 in Australia, and peaked at number 19 in Belgium.
