“Last Time I Saw You” is the second single from Nicki Minaj and her fifth studio album “Pink Friday 2”, which will be released in November 2023 through Republic Records.

The R&B track sees Minaj reminiscing on a past relationship with someone who is no longer with, but wishes she could go back in time and go about things differently with this individual. In a newsletter prior to the release of the song, Nicki Minaj expressed what she hoped listener’s would feel after listening, as well as expressing its personal meaning for herself:

“hope that even after, it makes you reflect and that if you are reflecting on a time, or a person that you wish you could go back in time and have a do over etc… I hope that you are still able to smile at the end of the song by realizing that you now have a chance to treat the people that you love, that are still in your life the way that expresses to them what they mean to you.”

The lyric video for the song was released on the 1st September 2023 on Nicki Minaj’s YouTube channel. As of the 20th September 2023, the video had 1.7 million views.

Nicki Minaj performed the song live at the 2023 VMAs.
