House Tour” is a song by American singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter, taken from her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, released on 29 August 2025. Written by Carpenter alongside Amy Allen, Jack Antonoff and John Ryan, the track was produced by Carpenter, Antonoff and Ryan. Blending bubblegum pop, dance-pop, power pop and synth-pop, the song combines an upbeat, retro-inspired sound with Carpenter’s characteristic wordplay and sexually suggestive humour.

The song centres on Carpenter inviting a romantic interest to take a tour of her house. However, the seemingly innocent premise quickly develops into a series of double entendres, with references to different rooms and features of the property serving as playful metaphors for sexual intimacy. Carpenter deliberately balances these suggestive lines with an exaggeratedly straightforward delivery, making the humour part of the song’s appeal. Among its references is the American cookie brand Chips Ahoy!, which became a talking point among listeners because of its unexpected inclusion in the lyrics.

Rather than presenting itself as a conventional love song, “House Tour” uses domestic imagery to construct a flirtatious scenario in which Carpenter controls the encounter. The contrast between the innocent language of a house viewing and the increasingly suggestive implications gives the track its central comedic device. Its playful treatment of sexuality is consistent with the wider lyrical approach of Man’s Best Friend, an album that frequently combines romantic themes with innuendo, irreverence and self-aware humour.

The song received positive attention from music critics following the release of Man’s Best Friend. Billboard journalist Jason Lipshutz ranked it second among the album’s tracks, praising its fast-moving synth-pop production, humorous lyrics and carefully constructed 1980s-inspired sound. India Block of the London Standard similarly highlighted the contrast between the song’s seemingly innocent domestic setting and its sexual innuendos. These responses reflected the track’s ability to function both as a humorous lyrical exercise and as a tightly constructed pop song.

The official music video premiered on 6 April 2026, ahead of the single’s release. Co-directed by Carpenter and actress Margaret Qualley, it also stars actress Madelyn Cline. Filmed at the Disco Volante Estate in Los Angeles in March 2026, the video expands the song’s domestic theme into a cinematic story about a trio of thieves known as the Pretty Girl Clean-up Crew.

Carpenter, Qualley and Cline portray the three women breaking into a mansion, where they dance, explore the property, interact with the owner’s pets and steal its contents. Their activities are presented with a playful, glamorous tone that matches the song’s mischievous character. After emptying the house, the trio leave as the police arrive, running over a man in the process. They also leave behind a note thanking the owner for their stay and promising to recommend the property to their friends.

The video’s combination of crime, comedy and stylish visual storytelling drew comparisons to Drive-Away Dolls, the 2024 crime thriller that also stars Qualley. Its editing and direction helped establish it as a notable visual release within Carpenter’s catalogue. At the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, the video won Best Editing and received nominations for Best Pop, Best Direction and Song of Summer. It was also nominated for Best Music Video at the 34th Camerimage International Cinematography Festival.

“House Tour” also achieved several recording certifications, reflecting its sales and streaming performance in different territories:

  • Platinum — Brazil (Pro-Música Brasil)
