Nico & Vinz

Album Am I Wrong

Story of Song

Nico said: “It symbolizes our journey from where we started. We’re singing about our identities”. The duo had dreams to be international stars, not just famous in their home country Norway. In an interview with MTV News, Nico told the story of the song, saying: “We sat down in the studio and we said ‘we don’t care what people say, we are gonna follow our gut feeling, we’re gonna do what we want to do and believe in ourselves, so, we sat there and asked ourselves the questions, am I wrong? For thinking we can become this for real? Am I trippin’ for having this vision? I’m gonna be on top of the world’.”
The duo were previously known as ‘Envy’, but after signing with the Warner Brothers label in the US in early 2014, they changed the name to Nico & Vinz.
