The Military Wives Choir was formed in 2010 by choirmaster Gareth Malone for the BBC 2 television series The Choir: Military Wives. The choir consists of wives and partners of British military personnel serving in Afghanistan. This is the debut single for The Choir; the song’s proceeds went to the Royal British Legion and SSAFA Forces Help. The song raised more than 500.00 UK Pounds. This affecting love song is based on segments of letters exchanged between the military personnel and their families.
