“WAIT FOR U” is the seventh track from American rapper Future that was released on the 29th April 2022 through Freebandz and Epic Records. The track features Canadian rapper Drake and Nigerian singer Tems. The song samples Tem’s 2020 track “Higher” from her album “For Broken Ears”.
The catchy yet calm rap track marks Future and Drake’s 28th collaboration together, and details a messy relationships filled with drugs and chaos, as well as only being able to express vulnerability when under the influence of narcotics.
The official audio video for “WAIT FOR U” was uploaded to Future’s YouTube channel on the 29th April 2022. As of the 5th May 2022, the video had a total of 2.5 million views and was #19 on YouTube’s trending music page.
