Story of Song

After the track got signed to Ministry of Sound label, they had asked Katy B and Tinie Tempah to write the vocals. Katy B wasn’t sure they would chose her version over Tempah’s, though the label then decided to put the 2 verions together.  In an interview with KISS studios Katy B talked about the video and how excited she was, saying “it feels like a fashion show. The dancers in it are vogueing.” The song is a re-working of British DJ KDA’s instrumental hit “Rumble”.

‘Turn the Music Louder’ debuted at number one in the UK and never made it to the US Charts. It was certified silver in the UK with sales over  200000 copies. The single is Katy B’s first number one and Tempah’s seventh.

Tinie Tempah was 27 and Katy B was 26 years of age. KDA had been active for over a year.
