Tequila

“Tequila” is the latest track from Jax Jones and Martin Solveig, who are currently working on a collaborative album together: “Jax Jones & Martin Solveig present Europa”, which is due to be released sometime later in the year. ‘Tequila” also features vocals from British singer RAYE, who has previously collaborated with Jax Jones before, but not Solveig.

“Tequila” is an electronic dance track about being in a nightclub with your friends, dancing and having a good time, and drinking Tequila. The track was written by Jax Jones, Martin Solveig, RAYE, MNEK, Janee Bennett and Jamie Spinks, with production done by Jones, Solveig, Alex Tepper and Ralph. Jones first played the song at a nightclub in Brooklyn in April 2019.

The music video was released alongside the track on the 21st February 2020. Directed by Santi & Pablo, the video shows Jax Jones, Martin Solveig and Raye performing the song to an audience in a studio, dressed in 80’s like clothes, as well as visuals of Jax Jones playing the saxophone behind some flames from a greenscreen. As of April 2020, the video has over 3.8 million views with 52 thousand likes.
