“Super Shy” is the second track from South Korean girl group NewJeans’ second EP “NewJeans ‘Super Shy'”, which was released on the 7th July 2023 through ADOR & YG Plus Records.
The liquid drum and bass track details the first time nerves and awkwardness when someone begins to fall in love for the very first time. The song also addresses the shyness that can come before feeling confident enough to confess said love.
The song performed well on TikTok, with millions of videos using the track.
The music video was released via HYBE LABELS YouTube channel on the 7th July 2023. It was directed by Heewon Shin and filmed in Lison, Portugal. As of the 10th August 2023, the video had a total of 52.5 million views.
