“Roses (Imanbek Remix)” was originally by Guyanese-American rapper SAINt JHN (Carlos St. John), and first appeared on his 2018 album “Collection One”, despite the original version being released in July 2016.
The Imanbek remix of “Roses” was made by 19-year-old Kazakh musician and producer Imanbek Zeykenov in July 2019, and was released as a single through Russian label Effective Records – but without SAINt JHN’s involvement. According to Imanbek, he tried to reach out to SAINt JHN via Instagram, but never received a response. This particular remix of “Roses” also received the attention from media platform Tik Tok, which lead the song to its viral and global success.
There is no music video for the remix, however on SAINt JHN’s YouTube channel there is an audio video for the remixed track, which was uploaded to the channel in September 2019. As of April 2020, the video has 52.6 million views with 718 thousand likes. On Spotify, the remix has over 336 million streams across the world.
