“Potion” is the 2022 single from Scottish producer and singer-songwriter Calvin Harris featuring British singer Dua Lipa and American rapper Young Thug. Released through Sony Records on the 27th May 2022, this track marks second collaboration with both Lipa and Young Thug, but the trio’s first track together.
The EDM/pop song sees Lipa and Young Thug take turns to discuss physical intimacy, good vibes and a connection between two lovers. In a press release, Harris admitted his happiness to work with both Lipa and Young Thug again:
“It’s an honor to work with Dua and Thug again. They’re both such dynamic artists who have contributed so much to today’s musical landscape.”
The music video for “Potion” was released on the 27th May 2022 and was directed by Emil Nava, and shows Lipa and Young Thug in various environments: a hotel hallway, an upside down car on a beach and on a giant pond with lily pads. As of the 7th June 2022, the video had a total of 12 million views.
