“Players” is the 2022 single from American rapper and singer Coi Leray. The track was released on the 30th November 2022 via Uptown.
The rap song contains samples from American hip hop group Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five’s 1982 single “The Message”, from their debut studio album of the same name.
The song sees Leray discuss how women can be promiscuous too, and can be “players” (hence the title of the song). The song is upbeat and catchy, and could be deemed as a modern sexual empowerment track for women.
The audio video for the song was uploaded to YouTube on the 30th November 2022. As of the 24th February 2023, the video had a total of 8.1 million views.
