“Never Too Much” was the lead single from American singer, songwriter and producer Luther Vandross and his debut album was the same name, released in 1981. “Never Too Much” was both produced and written by Luther Vandross.
“Never Too Much” is a post-disco / soul track detailing Vandross’ singing about a love that he cannot get over or forget, and how a thousand kisses from them is “never too much”. The track received two Grammy Award nominated in 1982: “Best New Artist” and “Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male”.
The music video for “Never Too Much” was released in 1981 but was uploaded to Vandross’ YouTube channel on the 24th `November 2009. The video features Vandross recording the song in the recording studio, mixed in with clips of people crossing streets, listening to music and dancing to themselves. As of June 2020, the video has 26.7 million views with almost 200 thousand likes.
