A*M*E talked to The Daily Star about the song, saying: “We hooked up with Duke through the internet. He was hearing what I was doing and filed over a beat to me and fellow songwriter MNEK. We had just got in about half an hour before and were so tired we couldn’t be bothered to write a full-on song, so MNEK hummed a little hook and I did the chorus lyrics really quick, and that’s how it came about.”
