“Meet Me At Our Spot” is the eighth track from the 2020 collaborative album from American singer-songwriter Willow Smith and American singer and filmmaker Tyler Cole (calling themselves THE ANXIETY). Released through Roc Nation and independent label MSFTS, the album and “Meet Me At Our Spot” was a slow burner, becoming popular across the globe thanks to TikTok.
As with the whole album, “Meet Me At Our Spot” was written and produced by Tyler Cole and Willow Smith, and details different anxieties about different things, such as social, mental and emotional. The song focuses on anxiety that keeps you up at night, in which both Smith and Cole speak of a secret meeting spot, a safe space for anxious people alike.
The song failed to chart in 2020 when it was released, but became viral in 2021 thanks to millions of TikTok users using the song’s chorus in various videos. “Meet Me At Our Spot” is certified Gold in Canada, New Zealand and the United States.
There is no official music video for “Meet Me At Our Spot“, however there is an official audio video on THE ANXIETY’s YouTube channel which was uploaded on the 13th March 2020. As of early November 2021, the audio video has over 14.4 million views and almost 300 thousand likes.
