“Losing My Mind” was originally a song by Stephen Sondheim for the 1971 musical ‘Follies”. In 1989, the song was covered by American singer and actress Liza Minnelli, with production done by Julian Mendelsohn and British synth-pop group the Pet Shop Boys.
“Losing My Mind” is a song about being unable to think about anyone else beside your lover, and wondering if you are losing your mind in the process.
The official music video was filmed sometime in 1989, and was uploaded to YouTube in March 2019, from Liza Minnelli’s VEVO YouTube account. The video shows Liza Minnelli in a dark room undressing, scenes of a man, rain and Minnelli driving in the dark. As of March 2020, the video has 193 thousand views and 3.2 thousand likes.
