“Lonely” is the 2020 single from British DJ, producer and fitness trainer Joel Corry. Written by Corry, with Harlee Jayne Sudworth, Lewis Thompson, Neave Applebaum and Robert Michael Nelson Harvey, “Lonely” is a track about an ex-lover coming back to you because they feel lonely, despite the way they have previously acted.

“Lonely” was also produced by Corry, Thompson and Applebaum, and sonically Corry has expressed that he is heavily influenced by UK garage music, as he grew up listening to it. “Lonely” features vocals by Harlee Jayne Sudworth, who also co-wrote the song; not Joel Corry.

The music video for “Lonely” was released on the 24th January 2020, and stars Joel Corry and his sister Aimee Corry, where Joel is a doctor in an institution that treats people obsessed with their smartphone. The video ends with all “patients” reconnecting with people without their phone and dancing together. As of the end of March, the video has 6.2 million views and 32 thousand likes.
