Story of Song
Inspired by true events. In an interview with Radio.com, Theron Thomas told the story behind the song, saying: “Our dad was locked up for five years. And during the time he was gone, our mom held it down. She’d take us to see him. They’re still together to this day. They’ve been together for 36 years. So we thought that that was a great story to write a song about.”
Theron also talked about his mom setting a high standard example for any prospective girlfriend: “We each hope we can find a woman who will love us like that. Who will be there for us, whether we’re down and out or whether we’re doing great and who will love us for who we are. That’s our standard. Our whole outlook on relationships is based on that.”

In my opinion the song is sad because a men is looking for a girl who will be there for him even though he is down, who will ride for him and who is fair, but he doesn’t find her.
At the same time the song is sweet because if he found a girl like that he would give her all the love also in the bad moments ad his mum did when his father was loked up for five years. I agree with his mum because all the people are looking for a person who stay with us when our luce is perfect but also when we are dow. I think that a relationship is based in that.

The song backwards is about me personally. I used to have hydrocephalus since birth but in 2015 a CT scan showed I no longer had water on the brain
