JOYRIDE

Kesha

Album JOYRIDE (Single)

“JOYRIDE” is the electropop single from American singer and songwriter Kesha, released on the 4th July 2024 through Kesha Records, the singer’s own independent label.

“JOYRIDE” marks Kesha’s first release as an independent artist, with her last album “Gag Order” from 2023 being her final contractual release with RCA and Kemosabe Records.

Lyrically, the track is sees Kesha using motor metaphors to describe a night of casual intimacy, with the singer describing the events as a “joy ride”.

Kesha’s lawsuit against producer Dr. Luke for sexual assault and battery meant Kesha’s career had been haulted for almost a decade, with the lawsuit ending in 2023 after Kesha’s previous labels had agreed to cut tied with her in 2023 after releasing a few more albums, as well as a settlement.

Kesha has been met with an outpour of love and support since releasing “JOYRIDE”.
