I’m Still in Love with You

Sean Paul

Album Dutty Rock

“I’m Still in Love with You” was released in 2004 by Jamaican musician Sean Paul featuring Sasha (real name Christine Chin) and interpolates “I’m Still in Love with You” by Alton Ellis, a Jamaican singer-songwriter.

The track tells the narrative of two lovers who are ultimately unfilled in their relationships but meet each other and have different views on the meeting. Sasha discusses the meeting from her perspective, and she wants to see the man (Sean) again: “I can’t get your tenderness / Still I can’t get you off my mind”. Paul’s character thinks otherwise: “Well I’m a hustler and a player, and you know I’m not a stayer”.

The music video for the track was uploaded to YouTube by a user named “FLassheriTo” on the 4th December 2009. It features Sean Paul and Sasha lip-syncing the track and dancing with one another in front of an orange, yellow and red screen, as well as some club scenes featuring other people dancing to the track. As of August 2019, the video has over 258 million views and over 1.1. million likes,
