Engineer Steve Brown decorated the studio with Christmas decorations to make the band get the band feel the Christmas spirit. The backing vocals for the song are by ‘The Suedettes’, augmented by the choir of Stockland Green Bilateral School first year. Roy Wood had arranged for the Stockland Green School choir to sing at ‘Top of the Pops’ T.V recording, but they replaced by a local stage school in London.
