Story of Song
An English DJ with 90s music background. When asked about the influence behind his hit single ‘House Every Weekend’ by (Urban House Music), Zowie replied: “My main influences behind the track were to make something with that early 90s feel good sound. I love that era. I’m from an old school, hardcore garage background and wanted something with that repetitive early 90s vocal.” Zowie added: “It’s a feel good song, it’s got that bassline charm and sound, people can relate to the vocal – House Music Every Weekend.” Zowie talked about the history and sound of the his single with DMC world Magazine, he said: “The track was an embryo I made in the studio. It was played at a house party with friends. They had it on repeat for a couple of hours! A DJ who was at the party then asked for a copy and played it out. That led to others asking for the track. Annie Mac, Pete Tong and The Magician picked up on it. The rest is history.”
