The track is a love song, and makes lyrical references to Donald Glover and Frank Ocean’s 2016 album “blond”. In the track, JVKE uses the term “golden hour” to describe the energy and light of his lover, as well as their journey to falling in love. By August 2022, “golden hour” became the most viral song in the world on Spotify’s Viral 50 USA and the Global chart.
The lyric video for “golden hour” was uploaded to JVKE’s YouTube channel on the 22nd July 2022, and had a total of 28 million views as of the 19th April 2023.
