Story of Song
Bruce Fielder AKA ‘Sigala’ is a DJ from London. ‘Easy Love’ is his debut single and it immediately topped the charts in the UK. It’s a dance tune and a remake of the Jackson 5’s hit “ABC”. Sigala spoke with Rob Copsey from (officialcharts.com) about his single, he said: “This is so amazing. I had no idea this would ever be a number 1 record. I wrote this song in my bedroom on a Sunday evening after a couple of beers. I had no idea it would go to the top of the charts!” When asked about the Jackson 5 clearing the song for use, Sigala said: “Tito Jackson was working in the same building as me a couple of months ago before we released the track. He was working on his album and we knew some of the people he was working with. We set up a meeting to play him the song and I was terrified he would kick off and storm out and hate it, but he was really nice about it. In fact he loved it! He even invited us to one of his gigs a few weeks later, which was incredible.”
