“Dua Lipa” is the 5th track from American rapper and singer Jack Harlow’s second studio album titled “Come Home the Kids Miss You”, which was released on the 6th May 2022 through Generation Now and Atlantic Records.
The trap rap song sees Harlow flaunting and bragging about his success, as well as essentially highlighting his admiration – and perhaps even crush – of Dua Lipa, a famous pop singer and songwriter.
Speaking to radio show The Breakfast Club on the day of the album’s release, Harlow was asked if Lipa knew of the song when he was creating it:
” […] I FaceTimed her and played it for her ‘cause I didn’t want her to be blindsided by that or feel like, you know, creeped out or anything. I wanted her to-if she had said like, “Yo, I hate it, I don’t want it to come out,” it wouldn’t have come out but she was like, “Oh, I mean, it’s not my song, I suppose it’s okay,” she was just kinda thrown off and she just let it go…”
There is currently no music video for the song, but the audio upload on Harlow’s YouTube channel had almost 2 million views on the 14th May 2022.
