“Daylight” is the second single from American singer-songwriter David Kushner and his upcoming debut studio album, which is due to be released sometime in 2023.

“Daylight” was released on the 14th April 2023 through Miserable Records. In the track, Kushner reflects on desires that may be toxic at the same time, and the paradoxical relationship he has with certain acts and desires. In an interview with Paper Magazine, Kushner explained the song’s meaning:

“[…] I aim to convey the paradoxical desire for something that is simultaneously harmful to oneself, using elements of light and darkness. The lyrics, “Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time/You and I drink the poison from the same vine,” encapsulate this concept.”

The lyric video for the song was released via Kushner’s official YouTube channel on the 14th April 2023. In 10 days, the lyric video had over 875 thousand views.
