“Crash into Me” is the third song from American rock group Dave Matthews Band and their second album “Crash”. “Crash into Me” is the groups most well known song to date. It was written by Dave Matthews himself.
“Crash into Me” is a track about worshipping women, and Matthews explained in a VH1 television interview in 1999, that the song is actually about a peeping tom or stalker, watching a girl at night through a bedroom window. Famous musician Stevie Nicks has also covered the track, using it as the first single from her first solo album – “The Soundstage Sessions”, released in March 2009.
The music video was released in 1996 but was uploaded to the Dave Matthews’ Band YouTube channel in October 2009. The video was directed by Dean Karr, showing Matthews and women outside, dancing and holding musical instruments. As of May 2020, the video has 20.2 million views and 85 thousand likes.
