“Body” the latest release by American rapper Megan Thee Stallion and was released on the 20th of November 2020 by 1501 Certified Entertainment and 300 Entertainment as the third single from her debut studio album “Good News”. The song was written by Megan Pete (AKA Megan Thee Stallion), LilDuMadeDaBeat and Christopher Petrel, with LilDuMadeDaBeat also producing the song.

“Body” opens with explicit moaning sounds and opens up with the words “Body-Body-Body-Body-dy-dy-dy”. The song is about appreciating bodies in all shapes and sizes and being the envy of all women due to Stallion’s curvaceous physique. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar magazine, Stallion revealed that the song was inspired by being stuck inside due to the COVID-19 pandemic and learning to love her body in that time:

“I’m like walking around the living room, freestyling, and appreciating my quarantine body ’cause I feel like I got a little fluffy and thick, and I was like, ‘Baby I still look good’.”

The music video for “Body” was uploaded to Stallion’s YouTube channel on the 20th November 2020. The video was directed by infamous director Colin Tiley, and features many celebrities who make a cameo appearance, such as Blac Chyna, Maliibu Miitch, Asian Da Brat, Jordyn Woods, Taraji P. Henson and Tabria Majors. The video shows all celebrities in bodysuits and extravagant outfits while they dance apart on large raised white platforms. In under 2 weeks, the video has received 21.3 million views and over 714 thousnad likes.
