Better

ZAYN

Album Better (Single, 2020)

“Better” is the latest single from British singer and songwriter ZAYN (Zayn Malik), and was released on the 25th September 2020 through RCA Records and Sony Music Entertainment. This is ZAYN’s first release since his 2018 album, “Icarus Falls”.

“Better” was written by Lucky Daye, Phil Scully, Dustin “Dab” Bowie, Cole Citrenbaum, Mike Hunnid McGregor and ZAYN; with Citrenbaum, Bowie and Scully in charge of production. The track is an upbeat and smooth song about trying to revive a dwindling love and relationship. This could be referencing his partner Gigi Hadid, as the couple did have an on and off relationship for almost 5 years. However, the pair most recently welcomed their first child into their family.

The music video for “Better” was released on ZAYN’s YouTube channel on the 25th September 2020 and was directed by Ryan Hope. The video shows ZAYN lying in a living room topless, slowly getting ready by outing on a suit while singing the song looking out the wide windows. As of late October, the video has 18.5 million views and 1.3 million likes.
