BELIEVE IT

“BELIEVE IT” is the latest single from Canadian singer PARYEXTDOOR (Jahron Brathwaite) featuring Rihanna – who has not released any music since 2017, where she collaborated with N.E.R.D. on the song “Lemon”. The track was released on the 27th March 2020, and is 10th track from PARTYNEXTDOOR’s new album, “PARTYMOBILE”.

“BELIEVE IT” was written by Rihanna, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Andre Robertson, Carl McCormick (Cardiac) and Eric Dugar, with McCormick credited for production along with Bizness Boi and Ninetyfour. “BELIEVE IT” is a slow R&B ballad about putting your trust in someone else, and making sure they don’t deceive you. In an article on the Rolling Stone website, Cardiak explained how he created the instrumental of the song with guitar and a “pitched-up vocal sample”, and then sent it on to Bizness Boi who was in Paris at a writing camp; Bizness Boi then sent the song to Ninetyfour, who then sent it to PARTYNEXTDOOR. Rihanna ended up finishing her vocals for the song in the week of the album’s release, which meant that Bizness Boi and Ninetyfour did not hear her finished vocals until the album and the song’s release on the 27th March 2020.

There is currently no official music video for “BELIEVE IT”, however the audio upload on PARTYNEXTDOOR’s YouTube channel has 10.4 million views and almost a quarter of a million likes since its upload on the 27th March 2020.
