“Astronaut In The Ocean” is the 2019 song by Australian rapper Masked Wolf (Harry Michael) and was the first song from Masked Wolf to reach over one million streams on Spotify. The rap song was written by Masked Wolf with Tyron Hapi, with Hapi producing the song.

“Astronaut In The Ocean” was originally released in June 2019 through Teamwrk Records in June 2019 and achieved minor success. Thanks to the social media platform TikTok, the song began to gain more attention in late 2020. Masked Wolf then signed to Elektra Records in early 2021 and re-released the song on the 6th January 2021. Speaking to Tone Deaf in February 2021, Masked Wolf said the song was about “’Astronaut In The Ocean’ touches on mental depression, how I was stuck in a place of anxiety and feeling low.” The song touches on mental health and its ability to bring you down.

The music video was directed by Cerne Studios and was uploaded to YouTube on the 27th October 2020. The video shows Masked Wolf in a spaceship, in front of Planet Earth while singing the song. As of late-May 2021, the video has over 129 million views with almost 3 million likes.
