All Day and Night

Jax Jones

Album All Day and Night

“All Day and Night” is the latest dance track from house music DJs Jax Jones and Martin Solveig, featuring young pop artist Madison Beer. The track is from their project that both Jones and Solveig titled “Europa”.

The track has vocals from Beer, who is known for her songs such as “Hurts Like Hell” and “Dead”. “All Day and Night” heavily interpolates the beat of “Insomnia”, an iconic house music track which was released by British group Faithless in 1995. The track changed the face of house music forever, creating a new wave and genre within house music. Hence, it is no surprise that “All Day and Night” provided a sense of nostalgia for the those who had heard “Insomnia”. The lyrics tell the narrative of a lover not wanting to let go of an ex lover, and how “all day and night you keep me up”. Martin Solveig spoke to etcetc about working with Beer: To have Madison on our first track is great. She has an undeniable truth in her vocal that we both really like and since launching her career she’s become an influential voice of her generation.”

The music video for the track was released on the 11th April 2019, and as of August has almost 13 million views. It features Beer singing in front of different environments such as a playground, city centre and a tunnel with large floating goldfish. The video is heavily animated and continuously features Jones and Solveig’s names in the background.
