It’s a club anthem that topped the charts in several countries. In an interview with MTV News, David Guetta explained how the collaboration came with Flo Rida came about, he said: “I was always playing a bootleg with ‘Love is Gone’ and ‘Low,’ from him. One day, his record company called me and asked me if I would produce records for him. I was like, ‘Yeah! Of course! Because I knew it was working in every club I was playing already.”

Flo Rida said that this song was inspired by “Just travelling around the world” with Guetta. In an interview with Billboard Magazine he said: “Every time we did a show together it was like we were the life of the party. So we were talking about definitely hooking up and doing a record together. Guetta sent me the production and I created my own lyrics, and that’s how we made the track.”

In the UK, ‘Club Can’t Handle Me’ topped the Official charts company and was certified Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for sales over 600.000 copies. In the US, it peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100; it also reached number 7 on the US Mainstream top 40, number 11 on the US Rhythmic charts, number 12 on the US Hot Rap Songs, and number 27 on the Hot Latin Songs. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified it Triple Platinum for sales over 3 million copies. The song topped the charts in Ireland, Poland, and Scotland. It also reached the top charts in several countries including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Slovakia, Spain and Switzerland. ‘Club can’t handle me’ was certified Triple Platinum in Australia and Canada, Platinum in several countries including Austria, Italy, New Zealand, Spain and Switzerland. In Belgium, Germany and Japan it was certified Gold.
