“It Might Be Time” is the second single from Tame Impala’s fourth studio album “The Slow Rush”, which is being released on the 14th February 2020. Written and produced by Kevin Parker from Tame Impala, the track was released in October 2019.
“It Might Time” is a track about outgrowing a relationship and that person. On the 28th October 2019, Parker took to Instagram to announce the track, stating in the caption: “I’ll be waiting anxiously with you until feb 14 2020, in the meantime enjoy this quirky new song about your own inner paranoid thoughts telling you you’ve lost your mojo, and whose drum sound took me about 1 of those 4 billion years. love you all”. The song also takes on a new sound musically for Tame Impala, with beats sounding more 70s pop with electro thrown in – rather than indie.
There is currently no music video for “It Might Be Time”, but the official audio upload on Tame Impala’s YouTube channel has over 8.7 million million views. On Spotify, the song has over 19 million streams worldwide.
